Since graduating from the Essen Academy in Germany in 2005, pianist Popi Malapani has led an active career as a soloist, accompanist, and chamber music performer. She has performed both in Greece and internationally, collaborating with the Athens State Orchestra and participating in various recording projects.
Since 2021, she has been responsible for the production of the Aegina International Music Festival and works with the Kalogeropoulio Foundation. She also teaches and accompanies at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.

Biography
Popi Malapani studied piano at the Municipal Conservatory of Kalamata with Stathis Gyftakis, Maria Papapetropoulou, and Neli Semitekolo, earning her Piano Degree in 1998 and Diploma in 2000. She continued her music studies at the Essen Academy in Germany with Prof. Michael Roll and Prof. Til Engel, graduating in 2005. Over the next two years, she attended song accompaniment seminars with Prof. Xavier Poncette (Essen Academy) and Alexander Schmalcz (Dusseldorf Academy), and has also participated in piano masterclasses with the Duo Ganev, Lilia Bojiadjieva, Domna Evnouchidou, and others.
She has performed in recitals and chamber music concerts in Greece and Germany. Her collaborations include working with the Athens State Orchestra for the "Musical Walks in Museums" series and recordings in July 2020.
Since the summer of 2021, she has been in charge of producing the Aegina International Music Festival and has been collaborating with the Kalogeropoulio Foundation in Corinth since October 2022, organizing outreach activities.
Since September 2014, she has worked as an accompanist and piano teacher at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory. She holds a degree in History and Archaeology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (1995-2000).
